Maggie Bennett has been a State Arts Commission "Folklorist in the Schools" for Washington and Idaho. She uses the Irish harp, autoharp, and mountain dulcimer to accompany her programs on "Lore, Legends, & Lyrics" of Winter and Spring Holidays, The Irish, Folklore of Many Lands, United States Folklore, and Follow Your Bliss. She is a respected author and holds a Ph.D. in Folklore from the University of Washington. An accomplished folksinger and storyteller, her programs are suitable for all ages, and she has performed widely for radio, television, schools, churches, clubs, festivals, senior centers, and through recordings.
