Lenore Jackson                    If you've been waiting for a storyteller to mention the ice age and Dave Brubeck or the English Penal Laws and Tico Tico, Lenore Jackson gathers stories with you in mind. She has prepared an exhilarating selection of some favorites. They may seem as unrelated as the brilliance of Irish folktales to a San Antonio Quality Inn or from Odin's high throne to a old Czech hunting lodge. But disconnected as they may seem, each of these stories goes beneath the surface to reveal something entirely unexpected.

Lenore is a Northwest storyteller with a rich Texas heritage. Her genteel and edifying stories come from mythology, folktales, and her own life. She specializes in Greek and Irish mythology, but is also known for "Horned Toad Memories" and "A Far Cry From Texas." She has performed at the Laura Simms Residency, the Northwest Folklife Festival, and Meany Hall. Her stories are both funny and profound.
