Home Phone:  206-217-4840

Lenore Jackson is an established Northwest storyteller with a rich Texas heritage. Her genteel and edifying stories come from mythology, folktales, and her own life.

Every story she tells is designed to lead the listener to a place where time stands still. Her telling is funny, profound, and incredibly honest. Lenore is known for her own creations--The Streets of Seattle, Stranded in the Goatheads, and Through the Cat Door--and her retellings of The Daughter of the King Under Wave, The Lute Player, and Orpheus and Eurydice.

A featured performer at the Northwest Folklife Festival for many years, she brings the richness of story to theaters, museums, libraries, and graduations. One of the last of the Southern belles and a former Armadillo Queen, Lenore is also known for writing, family history, music, voice work, and coaching.
